This article will give you some basic information about different aspects, causes and symptoms of breast cancer and you will certainly get the answers of some questions that you have in your mind.
Following are the aspects that we are going to discuss here in this article:

- Types of breast cancer
- Safety precautions
What is breast cancer?
Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in women after lung cancer. A number of women fell prey to death due to breast cancer even after the treatment for this form of cancer was invented.
However the chances of survival have improved in breast cancer treatment if compared to the past. In some cases breast cancer can also affect men but here our concern is breast cancer in women.
Types of breast cancer:
There are several kinds or forms of breast cancer but the most common which may include:
- Ductal Carcinoma In Situ(DCIS)
- Invasive Ductal Carcinoma(IDC)
- Lobular Carcinoma In Situ(LCIS)
- Invasive Lobular Cancer(ILC)
1-Ductal Carcinoma In Situ: This form or type of breast cancer is the early stage and easily or highly curable because abnormal cells are found in the lining of the breast milk duct or in original place and not spread in other body parts.
If DCIS is left untreated it may get severe and complicated and abnormal cells may start invading the whole body. So, treatment of DCIS in the very beginning is highly recommended.
2-Invasive Ductal Carcinoma: IDC is the stage where abnormal cells in the duct start invading other body parts. Invasive Ductal Carcinoma can also be found in men.
3-Lobular Carcinoma In Situ: Lobular Carcinoma In Situ is another form of breast cancer where cancer or unusual cells remain in their original place called lobules and don’t spread to other body parts.
It’s a mild and easily treatable form. LCIS rarely turns into Invasive Lobular form.
4-Invasive Lobular Cancer: In Invasive Lobular Cancer abnormal cells in lobules spread in other normal tissues and affect other body parts as well.
There are many other types of breast cancer too which we don’t need to discuss here as we have already discussed common breast cancer types.
Causes of breast cancer:
Breast cancer usually starts in breast milk ducts. It may also begin in lobules. Breast cancer is basically caused due to genetic makeup interaction and many other environmental factors.
